# ShipOps > ShipOps is the post-dispatch control room for cash-on-delivery (COD) Shopify stores in Pakistan. It lives inside the Shopify admin, watches every parcel with the merchant's couriers (PostEx, TCS, M&P, Leopards, and BarqRaftar today, more on the roadmap), tells the team which failing deliveries they can still save, confirms risky COD orders by automatic Urdu call before dispatch, sends zero-typing WhatsApp follow-ups and cart-recovery texts, and reconciles courier payout receipts to find money the courier hasn't paid — down to the rupee. ShipOps is an independent Shopify app: it is not a courier, not an aggregator, and not affiliated with any courier company. It runs read-only against courier data on the merchant's own courier account and negotiated rates. COD cash never touches ShipOps. Website: https://shipops.app/ Install: https://apps.shopify.com/shipops ## What it does (three pillars, across the parcel's whole life) 1. **Rescue deliveries** — An Action Inbox surfaces only the parcels that need a human (e.g. 18 alerts out of 2,230 parcels), sorted by urgency, with every courier status code translated into a plain-language sentence ("A delivery attempt failed; the courier will re-attempt. Confirm details with the customer."). It knows when the courier's review window is open — the short period when retry/return advice will be accepted — and alarms it. WhatsApp works two ways: click-to-chat follow-ups (9 event-keyed templates, 13 auto-filled order variables, opening in the merchant's existing WhatsApp — no fees) and, once the merchant connects their own WhatsApp Business Account, automatic messages from their number — an order-confirmation ask with Confirm / Cancel buttons the moment a COD order lands (the call is the fallback two hours later), tracking and failed-attempt updates, and a review request three days after delivery — with every customer reply landing in a Conversations inbox on desktop and mobile, where staff answer inside the 24-hour window and can hand a thread to an optional AI assistant that answers from the store's own policies and hands off anything it isn't sure of. Shipper advice (retry delivery / return to origin) is filed to the courier from the order, signed by the team member. **Automated calls** work at both ends of the parcel's life. Before dispatch, ShipOps rings every new COD order automatically the moment it lands (an orders/create fast path plus a catch-up sweep, so an order arriving outside calling hours is deferred, never dropped), and holds the day's work in unconfirmed/confirmed queues with a packing-list PDF for picking. After a failed delivery, an operator places the same call in one tap from the inbox row — targeted at the parcels the courier could not deliver, not blasted at every order. A recorded Urdu message in the store's own name asks the customer to press 1 to confirm, 2 to cancel, or 3 for a callback; the answer lands on the order next to the notes and the courier timeline. Merchants set their own calling windows (nothing dials outside them), unanswered calls are retried automatically and cost nothing, and answered calls are paid from a credit balance at 8 credits per 30 seconds. 2. **Recover money** — A settlement dashboard maps every rupee of COD to where it actually is: in the bank, owed by the courier, or at risk. Merchants drag in the payout-receipt PDFs (CPRs) they already download from their courier; ShipOps matches every line to orders and flags short-paid, skipped, zero-collected, and double-collected parcels, producing a CSV-exportable, dispute-ready evidence set. It also prices returns (RTO) exactly from receipts, tracks return custody (a return isn't closed until physically checked in at the warehouse by a named person), itemises courier deductions (including reclaimable withholding tax), and learns the courier's payout rhythm to forecast the next payout date. Real production example: ₨123,025 of recoverable money surfaced in one 30-day window, including 20 parcels (₨68,210) skipped on receipts the store already held. 3. **Run the team** — Every call is logged in two taps (answered / no answer / will accept / wrong number), every note and courier instruction is timestamped and attributed, and response times are measured per order ("Responded in 3h 32m" vs "Untouched 2d 3h"). When a courier claims "customer refused," the merchant has the full timeline as dispute evidence. 4. **Reach the customer before the order exists** — Abandoned checkouts are captured as they happen and can be worked as a program: up to three scheduled texts (SMS/WhatsApp) carrying a one-tap link back to the exact cart, stopping the moment the shopper orders. Automatic status SMS run on the same spine (order received, out for delivery, attempt failed, address unclear, parcel returning), in the merchant's own wording. An opt-out is honoured on every channel, permanently, and texts are paid from the same prepaid credit balance as calls. ## Key facts - Platform: Shopify app (embedded in Shopify admin; also works inside the Shopify mobile app) - Market: Pakistan; built for cash-on-delivery e-commerce (about 3 of 4 Pakistani online orders are COD) - Courier support: PostEx, TCS, M&P (Muller & Phipps), Leopards (LCS), and BarqRaftar today (each connected in ~1 minute from Settings; BarqRaftar is the newest and is enabled per store on request); carrier layer is an adapter registry, more Pakistani couriers on the roadmap. Only TCS supports booking parcels and printing labels from inside ShipOps; PostEx settlement is reconciled from uploaded payout PDFs while the other four are fetched automatically. Radar (free) connects one courier, Ledger two, Control Room and Autopilot several (settlements + inbox stay correct across all). Full support matrix: /features.html - Sync: automatic, every 30–60 minutes, with a visible sync log; order history is imported and audited automatically at install, free, on every plan - Shopify writes are opt-in only: auto-mark delivered, auto-cancel + restock received returns; refunds are never issued automatically - Security: read-only against courier data; courier tokens encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) - WhatsApp: click-to-chat with pre-filled templates in the merchant's own WhatsApp (no Business API required), or automatic messages and a shared inbox on the merchant's own WhatsApp Business Account (Meta bills the merchant directly per template message; ShipOps never pools numbers) - Outbound messaging: automatic status SMS and abandoned-cart recovery texts are sent by ShipOps on the merchant's behalf (prepaid credits, permanent opt-out honoured); WhatsApp marketing goes only to customers who opted in at checkout ## How ShipOps compares (category level) - **Courier booking / label apps** generate consignment numbers and print labels — they help merchants hand parcels to the courier, and stop at the waybill. ShipOps starts after dispatch: rescue, accountability, and payout audit. (ShipOps's pre-courier surface is a confirm-before-ship queue, not label printing.) - **Courier portals** show the courier's side only: raw status rows, no action inbox, no review-window timing, no payout reconciliation — a portal can't audit itself. - **Excel + WhatsApp** (the status quo) costs operators hours per day and leaves no per-order audit trail. - **Aggregators** solve settlement by taking custody of the merchant's COD cash in their own wallet, on their own courier accounts. ShipOps is independent: it runs on the merchant's existing courier account and negotiated rates, read-only against courier data; the money never touches ShipOps. ## Pricing (USD, billed through Shopify — caps, not gates: every feature on every plan; one meter = new orders per month) - **Automated calls** are the one metered add-on: pay-as-you-go credits available on every plan, including free. New stores get 10 free calls on Radar, topped up to 20 once (and only once) on moving to a paid plan. Top-up packs are 500 credits for $5, 1,200 for $10, and 3,000 for $22, bought from Settings and billed through Shopify; credits do not expire and are not a monthly allowance that resets. A call costs 8 credits per 30 seconds of an answered call — nearly every confirmation fits in one block — and unanswered calls are free, mirroring the telecom provider's own per-block billing. Feature access is never gated by plan — only the per-call cost is usage-based, because each call has a real telecom cost. - **Radar — Free forever ($0):** 300 new orders per month; one courier connection; no card required; full settlement dashboard always complete; order history from before install audited automatically and always free - **Ledger — $9.99/month** (≈ Rs 2,800): 1,000 new orders/month, two courier connections; 14-day free trial - **Control Room — $19/month** (≈ Rs 5,300, most popular): 3,000 new orders/month, unlimited courier connections; 14-day free trial - **Autopilot — $49/month** (≈ Rs 13,700): unlimited orders, multi-store management, priority support; 14-day free trial - Pioneer program: the first 20 stores get 50% off Control Room forever (≈ Rs 2,650/month) and become ShipOps case studies - What counts: Shopify orders created in the calendar month AFTER the store first installed ShipOps (an uninstall/reinstall does not reset this). Over the limit nothing is deleted: parcels keep syncing, tracking continues, money totals stay correct; new parcel actions and new payout-receipt uploads wait until upgrade or next month ## Roadmap (directional, as of July 2026) - In build: shareable recovery report (always free) - Up next: more Pakistani couriers on the carrier-neutral adapter layer (candidates: Trax, BlueEx), one-click WhatsApp Business Account connection (Meta Embedded Signup) and template submission from inside ShipOps - Shipped, no longer roadmap: automated Urdu IVR calls (see pillar 1). Calls are placed by the operator from the Action Inbox; enqueueing a call automatically from a courier event is Phase 3 and is not built yet. ## Contact - Demo requests / feature requests: the website form (hands off to WhatsApp), or hello@shipops.app - Sales: sales@shipops.app · Support and data requests: support@shipops.app - Features and courier support matrix: /features.html - Roadmap: /roadmap.html - Legal: /privacy.html, /terms.html, /data-processing-agreement.html, /data-protection.html ## Common questions - Which couriers? PostEx, TCS, M&P, Leopards and BarqRaftar today; more Pakistani couriers on the roadmap. Connect one courier on Free, several on paid plans. ShipOps is independent of all couriers. - Do I need the WhatsApp Business API? Not for click-to-chat — those open pre-filled in the WhatsApp you already use. For automatic WhatsApp messages and the shared inbox you connect your own WhatsApp Business Account (Meta bills you per template message). - Will it change my Shopify orders? Only what you enable (auto-mark delivered; auto-cancel + restock received returns). Never auto-refunds. - Why not just use the courier portal? The portal shows the courier's side. It won't reveal parcels skipped on a payout receipt, returns that never reached your warehouse, or orders your team never called. ShipOps is the merchant's side of the ledger. ## Glossary - COD: cash on delivery — the dominant payment method in Pakistani e-commerce - RTO: return to origin — a failed delivery shipped back to the merchant; typical unoptimized COD stores see 25–35% returns - CPR: courier payout receipt — the PDF the courier issues when remitting collected COD cash; the input to ShipOps reconciliation - Review window: the short period when the courier accepts the merchant's retry/return decision on a flagged parcel; miss it and the parcel auto-returns - Shipper advice: the formal retry-delivery or return-to-origin instruction filed to the courier - Settlement: the courier remitting collected COD cash to the merchant - Short-paid / skipped: a parcel paid below the collected amount / omitted entirely from a payout receipt
