Connect guide

How to connect DEX to your store

DEX is not connected with a key you paste. You ask DEX to link your DEX seller account to ShipOps, and DEX sends you a Seller ID and a warehouse code. You add your pickup name, phone, address and city, and the ShipOps team completes the first connection with you.

What you need

6 things
Seller ID Sent by DEX when it links your DEX account to ShipOps. It is not your DEX portal login, and there is no password to share.
Warehouse code The WH Code DEX sends with your Seller ID: the DEX warehouse that collects your parcels. DEX may also send a warehouse name (WH Name); ShipOps only needs the code.
Pickup name Your own: the store or business name DEX prints as the sender on every label.
Pickup phone Your own: the number DEX's rider calls at pickup.
Pickup address Your own: where the rider collects. DEX prints it on the label as the sender's address, and it cannot be changed after booking.
Pickup city The city the rider collects from, for example Lahore.

Don't have it yet?

Ask your DEX account manager, or DEX at dex.pk@daraz.com, to link your account. You can send them this: "Please link my DEX seller account to the ShipOps platform and send me my Seller ID and warehouse code."

DEX does the linking on its side. You don't need to set anything up in DEX's portal or share your DEX password with anyone.

Connecting it in ShipOps

  1. Ask DEX to link your DEX account to ShipOps. DEX then sends you the details listed above.
  2. Message ShipOps support once DEX has linked you. The first connection is completed with you, because DEX issues it for one store only.
  3. Once it is connected, your DEX bookings and labels run from ShipOps.

ShipOps stores your DEX details encrypted and uses them only to read your own account and to do what you ask from the app: a booking, a label, a retry or return. Your rates and your contract with DEX stay exactly as they are, and the COD cash still goes from DEX straight to your bank.

Each Seller ID connects to one store. DEX is marked In testing in ShipOps: booking, labels and cancellation work, but DEX has not yet switched on parcel tracking for ShipOps, so statuses start updating the day it does.

If DEX won't connect

ShipOps says DEX has no account linked under my Seller ID.

Check the Seller ID is exactly what DEX sent. If it is, DEX has not finished linking your account to ShipOps yet. Ask DEX to link it, then try again.

Booking asks me to add my pickup name, phone, address and city.

DEX prints these as the sender on every label, so it will not book without them. Add them under Settings, Couriers & store, DEX.

My DEX parcels are not changing status.

DEX has not switched on parcel tracking for ShipOps yet. Bookings and labels work. Statuses start updating the day DEX enables it.

I can't print a label or cancel a parcel I booked in the DEX portal.

ShipOps can only print labels for, and cancel, DEX parcels it booked itself. Do those in the DEX portal.
