Ship orders

Courier booking for Shopify stores in Pakistan

ShipOps, the COD app for Shopify, books your confirmed orders with fifteen Pakistani couriers and prints the labels, on your own courier account. Pick orders or press Book all on the Confirmed queue: ShipOps prepares each booking, sends it to the courier, writes the tracking number to the Shopify order and hands you the labels and the load sheet.

How booking works

  1. Confirm first. New COD orders land on the Unconfirmed queue. Once the customer confirms, by Urdu call or WhatsApp or by your team, the order moves to Confirmed and is ready to ship.
  2. Choose the courier and the orders. Tick the orders you want, or press Book all with your courier to take everything on Confirmed that is waiting for a courier.
  3. Check the bookings. The booking screen fills in each parcel from the order: the customer, the COD amount, the weight, the service. It matches the customer's city to the courier's own city list and flags anything the courier would refuse, so you fix it before booking, not after a rejection.
  4. Book. Each order is sent to the courier on its own. One the courier refuses shows why and keeps its place; the rest carry on. Every accepted booking fulfils the Shopify order with the tracking number.
  5. Print. Print the labels in the courier's own layout, and the load sheet to hand the rider at pickup.
  6. Change your mind. Cancel a booking from ShipOps and it is cancelled with the courier and in Shopify, and the order waits for a courier again.

Why book from ShipOps and not the courier portal

A courier portal books with one courier, and a booking app usually stops once the label is printed. Booking in ShipOps puts the parcel on the same screen as everything that happens to it next. The order was confirmed there, the tracking starts there on its own, a failed delivery comes back to the same inbox with the customer's answers beside it, and the payout receipt is checked against the same parcel when the courier pays. Nothing has to be copied between a portal, a spreadsheet and Shopify.

Booking is included on every plan, the free one too. Plans differ by how many new orders a month they cover and how many couriers you connect; the numbers are on the pricing page.

Questions merchants ask

Does ShipOps book on my own courier account?

Yes. You connect your own account with each courier, so every parcel is booked at your own negotiated rates and the courier pays your COD into your own bank as it always has. ShipOps is not a courier and not an aggregator, and the cash never passes through it.

Can I book many orders at once?

Yes. On the Confirmed queue, press Book all with your courier and every confirmed order waiting for a courier opens on one booking screen. You can also tick the orders you want. Each order is booked on its own, so one the courier refuses never holds up the rest.

Does it mark the Shopify order as fulfilled?

Yes. When the courier accepts a booking, ShipOps fulfils the order in Shopify with the courier's tracking number, so your customer's order page and any app that reads fulfilments see it straight away.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, with all fifteen couriers. Cancelling from ShipOps cancels the consignment with the courier and the fulfilment in Shopify, and the order goes back to waiting for a courier.

What label sizes can I print?

It depends on the courier: some print their own airway bill, some offer several layouts (TCS, for example, has a sticker label and A4 sheets), and several print a 4×6 ShipOps label. The table on this page lists every layout each courier offers.

Can I use two couriers?

Yes. Connect as many as your plan allows and pick the courier on the booking screen; the free plan connects one courier and paid plans more. Tracking, the action inbox and payout checks stay correct across all of them. See pricing.

What happens after I book?

Tracking starts on its own. ShipOps watches every parcel until it is delivered or back with you, puts the ones that need a person in the action inbox, and checks the courier's payout receipt when the money arrives. See how ShipOps saves failing deliveries and how it checks payouts.

What does “in testing” mean next to a courier?

Booking works and real parcels are running through it, but the courier was added recently, so ShipOps is still checking its tracking and payout documents against live trails. You can use it today; the tag comes off once enough parcels have been through.
