Connect guide

How to connect DigiDokaan to your store

DigiDokaan has no API key. You connect with the same details you sign in with: your DigiDokaan account number, which is your mobile number (03XXXXXXXXX), and your DigiDokaan password. Then add the gateway number of the courier DigiDokaan approved for you, or leave it blank for Leopard, and pick your pickup address.

What you need

3 things
Account number The mobile number you sign in to DigiDokaan with. Type it as you know it: 03XXXXXXXXX, or with +92 in front. ShipOps accepts either. Looks like: 03XXXXXXXXX, an 11-digit mobile number
Password Your DigiDokaan sign-in password, the same one you type on the DigiDokaan portal. For DigiDokaan this really is your login: there is no separate API key to find. ShipOps checks it with DigiDokaan before saving.
Courier gateway Optional. Leave it blank if you ship with Leopard through DigiDokaan. Otherwise type the gateway number DigiDokaan approved for you: 5 Trax, 13 BlueX, 15 M&P, 17 TCS, 21 PostEx. Looks like: a short number, such as 5 for Trax

Don't have it yet?

There is nothing extra to request. If you can sign in to DigiDokaan, you already have what ShipOps needs. If you have forgotten your password, get back into your DigiDokaan account first, then connect.

A courier other than Leopard has to be approved for your account by DigiDokaan's sales team before you can book with it. Ask your DigiDokaan sales contact: "Please approve the Trax gateway for my DigiDokaan account and tell me its gateway number." Put your courier's name in place of Trax.

Connecting it in ShipOps

  1. Install ShipOps from the Shopify App Store, or open it if you already have it. On your first visit ShipOps asks you to connect a courier; later, it lives under Settings → Couriers & store.
  2. Choose DigiDokaan and fill in Account number, Password and Courier gateway.
  3. Press Connect DigiDokaan. ShipOps checks the details with DigiDokaan before it saves them, so a typo shows up straight away, not a day later. When it works you see Saved — credentials confirmed.
  4. Under Pickup address, press Choose…, pick the one your parcels ship from, and press Save. ShipOps loads the list from your DigiDokaan account. This is what bookings and labels are made under; you can skip it if you only want tracking.
  5. That's it. Your DigiDokaan parcels load in the background, so there is nothing to wait for. They appear in your inbox as they arrive.

ShipOps stores your DigiDokaan details encrypted and uses them only to read your own account and to do what you ask from the app: a booking, a label, a retry or return. Your rates and your contract with DigiDokaan stay exactly as they are, and the COD cash still goes from DigiDokaan straight to your bank.

One DigiDokaan connection books through one courier gateway, the one you entered. Tracking is not limited to it: parcels on your account booked through other couriers are still followed.

The pickup addresses ShipOps offers are the ones on your DigiDokaan account for that gateway. If there are none, add one in the DigiDokaan portal before you book from ShipOps.

If DigiDokaan won't connect

ShipOps says DigiDokaan rejected the sign-in

DigiDokaan did not accept the number and password together. Check that you can sign in on the DigiDokaan portal with exactly the same details, then type them again in ShipOps. If you have changed your DigiDokaan password, connect again with the new one.

ShipOps says DigiDokaan has not approved the gateway yet

Your sign-in worked, but DigiDokaan's sales team has not switched that courier on for your account. Ask your DigiDokaan sales contact to approve it, then connect again. Tracking works meanwhile; booking does not.

ShipOps says the gateway is not one my account lists

The number you typed is not a courier on your DigiDokaan account. The message lists the gateway numbers your account does have. Type one of those, or leave the field blank for Leopard, and connect again.

ShipOps says my account has no pickup addresses

Your sign-in worked, but there is no pickup address on your DigiDokaan account for that courier. Add one in the DigiDokaan portal, then connect again. Tracking works without it.

My orders name Leopards or Trax, not DigiDokaan

When DigiDokaan fulfils an order in your store, it writes the courier's name with a DigiDokaan tracking link. ShipOps recognises the link and follows those parcels as DigiDokaan parcels, as long as you have not connected that courier to ShipOps directly as well.
