M&P “Unsuccessful Return Attempt”: what it means
14 Coming back
On M&P, 14 Unsuccessful Return Attempt means an M&P rider tried to hand a returned parcel back at your address and could not. The note ends "Return will be rescheduled", and M&P tries again.
The note also says "failed due to:" and repeats the customer's original refusal, which makes it look like a second failed delivery to the customer. It is not. The failed door was yours.
ShipOps does not count it as a delivery attempt, and keeps the original reason on the order. If you see it, check that someone was at the pickup location and that M&P has your correct address.
What to do now
| Your move | The rider could not hand the return back to you. Make sure the pickup location is staffed. |

How ShipOps reads it
Coming back On its way back to you. The return is committed, so ShipOps stops suggesting retries and moves the parcel to the returns list. When it lands, checking it in records that you have the goods back, and the return charge is counted against the order.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All M&P statuses →
