Connect guide

How to connect Shipnoc to your store

To connect Shipnoc you need three things: the username and password you sign in to Shipnoc with, and your API signature. Shipnoc sends the signature to the email or mobile number registered on your account. If you never received it, ask Shipnoc support for it. ShipOps checks all three with Shipnoc before saving.

What you need

3 things
Username The username you sign in to your Shipnoc account with. Yes, your normal login.
Password Your Shipnoc account password, the same one you sign in with. Type it exactly, including any spaces.
API signature A separate code Shipnoc sends to the email address or mobile number registered on your Shipnoc account. It is not your password. Look for it in your email and messages from Shipnoc, or ask Shipnoc support to send it again.

Don't have it yet?

If you can sign in to Shipnoc but have no signature, ask Shipnoc support for it. You can send them this: "Please send me the API signature for my Shipnoc account." It goes to the email or mobile number on your account, so make sure that is one you can read.

Connecting it in ShipOps

  1. Install ShipOps from the Shopify App Store, or open it if you already have it. On your first visit ShipOps asks you to connect a courier; later, it lives under Settings → Couriers & store.
  2. Choose Shipnoc and fill in Username, Password and API signature.
  3. Press Connect Shipnoc. ShipOps checks the details with Shipnoc before it saves them, so a typo shows up straight away, not a day later. When it works you see Saved — credentials confirmed.
  4. That's it. Your Shipnoc parcels load in the background, so there is nothing to wait for. They appear in your inbox as they arrive.

ShipOps stores your Shipnoc details encrypted and uses them only to read your own account and to do what you ask from the app: a booking, a label, a retry or return. Your rates and your contract with Shipnoc stay exactly as they are, and the COD cash still goes from Shipnoc straight to your bank.

Shipnoc opens parcel tracking only for certain hours of the day, for every account. If you connect while it is closed, ShipOps still saves your details and tells you so, and your parcel statuses update the next time Shipnoc opens tracking. Shipnoc is marked In testing in ShipOps while it runs on its first stores; tell us if a status looks wrong.

If Shipnoc won't connect

ShipOps says Shipnoc rejected my username, password or signature.

Enter all three again exactly as Shipnoc gave them. The password must be the one you sign in with today. If the signature is the problem, ask Shipnoc support for a new one.

I changed my Shipnoc password and the connection stopped working.

ShipOps uses your Shipnoc login, so the new password has to go into ShipOps too. Open Settings, Couriers & store, Shipnoc, and enter it with your username and signature.

ShipOps says Shipnoc's tracking is closed right now.

Your details were saved and nothing is wrong with your account. Shipnoc switches tracking on only for certain hours, for everyone. Statuses update the next time it is open.

I connected but some parcels are not showing.

ShipOps finds Shipnoc parcels from the tracking numbers on your store's orders and from bookings made in ShipOps. Add the tracking number to the order and the parcel is picked up on the next sync.
