Shipnoc In testing
ShipOps connects to your Shipnoc account with your username, password and API signature. It follows every parcel when Shipnoc's tracking is open (Shipnoc switches it off for most of the day), reads Shipnoc's statuses into plain words without ever treating PAYMENT DONE as a delivery, and sweeps Shipnoc's weekly COD invoices a month at a time. In testing while real parcels run through it.
Shipnoc's API is plain HTTP with your login in every call. It was built into ShipOps from a four-route document that prints two statuses, then corrected against a real account: 37 tracking calls, 14 months of invoices, 7,809 invoice rows. Two of Shipnoc's habits shape everything on this page.
First, tracking has hours. Shipnoc answers Tracking Disabled to a good login and a bad one alike for most of the day, and has been seen opening at 23:21 Pakistan time. ShipOps reads that as the courier being closed, notes it on the sync run, and tries again later. It is never shown to you as a failure, because it is not one.
Second, Shipnoc keeps about three months of trail. No Tracking Found means the trail has aged out, not that the parcel is gone; a parcel on a paid invoice is never retired on that answer.
What ShipOps does with Shipnoc
| Live tracking | Yes. ShipOps finds your Shipnoc parcels from the tracking numbers on your store's fulfilments and follows each one with Shipnoc's API. |
|---|---|
| Retry / return instruction | Shipnoc has no API for a retry or return instruction. ShipOps still shows the parcel in your inbox with the reason, and links you to Shipnoc to answer by hand. |
| Booking and labels | Yes. Book from the order, print the label, cancel a booking. Services: Standard. Label layouts: ShipOps label (4×6 in). |
| COD payouts | Automatic · statement upload. ShipOps reads Shipnoc's payout receipts from its API on a schedule and checks every parcel on them. Drop in the payout statement Shipnoc sends you and ShipOps reads it. How Shipnoc pays COD, in detail → |

Connecting Shipnoc
Enter your Shipnoc username, password and API signature into ShipOps. They are stored encrypted and sent on each call, as Shipnoc's API requires. The connection is checked by reading your invoices, because the tracking route may be closed at the moment you connect.
Parcels are found from the tracking numbers on your store's fulfilments (Shipnoc's are twelve characters beginning KI on the account checked) and from ShipOps bookings, then followed when tracking is open. Nothing is written to your store until you switch a write-back on.
There is no advice API and no label route. A parked parcel still lands in your inbox with its reason, and ShipOps renders the label from the booking data.
What Shipnoc's statuses mean
11 phrases, read the way the app reads them| What Shipnoc prints | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| PARCEL BOOKED | Booked | The first row of every trail. Booked, awaiting pickup. |
| RECEIVED AT OFFICE · INTRANSIT · REACHED AT DESTINATION | In transit | Moving inside Shipnoc's network. |
| OUT FOR DELIVERY · COURIER OUT FOR DELIVERY | In transit | With the rider; the second is the partner network's own scan. |
| CONSIGNEE NOT AVAILABLE · REFUSED TO ACCEPT · INCOMPLETE ADDRESS · ADDRESS CLOSED · CASH NOT AVAILABLE · UNABLE TO CONTACT · SHIFTED | Attempt failed | A failed visit with the reason printed as the status. Reach the customer before the next attempt. |
| AFTER CALL RE ATTEMPT | Attempt failed | Shipnoc retrying after a call. Still a failed first visit. |
| HOLD FOR SELF COLLECTION · ON HOLD · NON SERVICE AREA · WRONG DESTINATION | Needs your decision | Needs you. There is no advice API: tell your Shipnoc contact what to do. ShipOps keeps the parcel in your inbox. |
| READY FOR RTN · READY FOR RETURN · RETURN | Coming back | Coming back. |
| PARCEL RETURNED | Returned to you | Back with you. Check it in. |
| DELIVERED | Delivered | Delivered, unless a failed visit, a hold or a return follows it on the trail, in which case ShipOps does not claim the delivery. One trail read ACCEPT twice at 17:51, unpaid and uninvoiced. |
| PAYMENT DONE | In transit | Deliberately neutral. It is a payment event on Shipnoc's side, not a delivery scan; the trail's own DELIVERED row is what counts. |
| PARCEL CANCELLED | Cancelled | Cancelled before pickup. |
Why a Shipnoc delivery fails, as ShipOps names it
| Address problem | Non-service area · Address issue |
|---|---|
| Customer refused | Refused to accept |
| Other | Held for customer pickup · Order cancelled · Needs review |
| Customer not available | Consignee not available · Consignee out of city |
| Phone problem | Phone not responding |
These are the reasons Shipnoc gives on a failed visit, normalised to one label each so your team sees "Customer not available", never the raw string. The family decides what the Action Inbox suggests: an address problem asks the customer for a landmark, a phone problem tries WhatsApp, a refusal asks whether to return.
Questions merchants ask about Shipnoc
Which Shipnoc credentials does ShipOps need?
Your Shipnoc username, password and API signature, stored encrypted and sent on each call as Shipnoc's API requires.
Why does ShipOps say Shipnoc is closed?
Shipnoc switches its tracking route off for most of the day and answers Tracking Disabled to every login. ShipOps notes it on the sync run and tries again later; it is not a failure and you are not shown one.
Why is Shipnoc marked In testing?
The integration was built from a four-route document and corrected against one real account. The tag tells you an error is possible and reportable; it comes off once more accounts have run real parcels through it.
Can I tell Shipnoc to retry or return from ShipOps?
No, there is no advice API. The parcel shows in your inbox with the reason, and the instruction goes to your Shipnoc contact.
Can I book Shipnoc parcels from ShipOps?
Yes, with a label ShipOps renders (Shipnoc has no label route) and cancellation, on your own account.
