Shipnoc “Parcel Returned”: what it means

Returned to you

Shipnoc Parcel Returned means the returned parcel has been handed back to you. It is the last status on a returned Shipnoc parcel. The customer did not receive it, and no COD is coming for it.

It usually comes a few days after READY FOR RTN. On Shipnoc's invoices the same parcel shows as a Parcel Returned row with no COD; its delivery charge was billed earlier, on the invoice for the week it was booked.

ShipOps shows it as returned and keeps the reason from the failed visits, so the return counts under its cause. If another scan follows it, ShipOps waits for that. Check the parcel into stock when it arrives.

How ShipOps reads it

Returned to you Back with you. The parcel is closed as returned. ShipOps checks the courier's payouts for the return charge, so a return billed twice or a return marked delivered on a receipt is caught.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Shipnoc statuses →
