M&P “Return – Out For Delivery”: what it means
13 Coming back
On M&P, 13 Return – Out For Delivery means the parcel is scheduled to be delivered back to you, at your pickup address. The note reads "Scheduled for return at the shipper's address." The delivery it talks about is to you, not the customer.
People who skim it read Out For Delivery and think the customer is getting the parcel. It is the opposite: this parcel is a return. It can also appear before 12 Return – Reached at Origin, so the parcel may not be in your city yet.
What it asks of you is someone at the pickup location, so the hand-back does not fail.
