PostEx “Booking Cancelled by Merchant”: what it means

0002 Cancelled Also printed as Un-Assigned By Me · Cancelled

PostEx 0002 Booking Cancelled by Merchant means the booking was cancelled before PostEx collected the parcel. Someone on your side cancelled it, in the PostEx portal or through ShipOps. No parcel moved, and the tracking number will not be used again.

PostEx shows this one status three ways: Booking Cancelled by Merchant, Un-Assigned By Me and Cancelled. It is a cancellation, not a return, so do not count these among your returns.

If the order is still wanted, book it again; the new booking gets a new tracking number. ShipOps shows 0002 as Cancelled, and offers a cancel button only before pickup, which is the only time PostEx allows one.

What to do now

Your move Cancelled before pickup. The PostEx order list says "Cancelled" and the parcel page says "Un-Assigned By Me". Same thing.

How ShipOps reads it

Cancelled Cancelled before it moved. ShipOps closes the parcel and takes it off every working list. The store order itself is untouched, so if it still needs to go, it can be booked again.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All PostEx statuses →
