PostEx statuses
Every PostEx tracking status, explained
PostEx prints 18 statuses a merchant actually sees on a parcel. Each one below has its own page: what is physically happening, what to do now, and where it usually goes next. They are grouped by what the parcel needs from you, which is not always what the words suggest.
Booked, not yet collected
Booked| At {store} Warehouse 0001 | Booked but not yet collected. Nothing to do unless it sits here more than a day; then chase the pickup. |
|---|
Moving inside the courier's network
In transit| Departed to PostEx. Warehouse 0031 | Collected. This is the pickup; nothing to do yet. |
|---|---|
| Received at Warehouse 0003 | Inside PostEx's network. Nothing to do yet. |
| Departed to {city} 0033 | On the road between PostEx warehouses. Nothing to do yet. |
| Arrived at Transit Hub 0035 | Usually moving toward the customer. If a return status came before it, this is the parcel on its way back to you; ShipOps shows it as returning. |
| Waiting for Delivery 0038 | In the customer's city, waiting for a rider. The best moment to confirm the address and that the cash is ready. |
| Enroute for Delivery 0004 | Out with the rider today. A good moment to remind the customer to keep the phone on and the cash ready. |
A delivery failed, the courier still has it
Attempt failed| Attempt Made 0013 | The rider could not deliver; the reason code says why. PostEx will try again on its own and does not accept a retry or return instruction yet. Call or WhatsApp the customer now so the next try works. |
|---|---|
| Merchant Request For Re-Attempt 0013 | Your retry is filed and the review window is closed. Make sure the customer knows the parcel is coming out again, then watch for the next 0004. |
| Return Process Initiated 0040 | Looks final, is not. PostEx sometimes sends these back out for another try. You cannot send a retry here, so call the customer instead. |
The courier is waiting for your decision
Needs your decision| Delivery Under Review 0008 | The one status where PostEx takes your answer. Choose retry or return from the order in ShipOps before the window closes; if you say nothing, the parcel usually starts coming back. |
|---|
Handed to the customer
Delivered| Delivered to Customer 0005 | Done. The COD should appear on one of PostEx's next CPRs; ShipOps watches for it and tells you if it does not. |
|---|
On its way back to you
Coming back| Merchant Request For Return 0008 | Your return instruction is filed. Plan for the parcel to come back, and decide whether to rebook or refund. |
|---|---|
| Return to {city} 0037 | The return is now certain. PostEx will not try the customer again. Plan for the parcel to come back and decide whether to rebook. |
| Waiting for Return 0039 | Waiting at a PostEx office to come back to you. Nothing to do but expect it. |
| En Route to Merchant Warehouse 0032 | On the last leg back to you. Make room for it and check it in when it arrives. |
Back with you
Returned to you| Returned at Merchant Warehouse 0006 | Back with you. Check it in, so the store order can be cancelled and restocked if you have that switched on. |
|---|
Cancelled before it moved
Cancelled| Booking Cancelled by Merchant 0002 | Cancelled before pickup. The PostEx order list says "Cancelled" and the parcel page says "Un-Assigned By Me". Same thing. |
|---|
The failed-visit reasons, how PostEx connects and what ShipOps does with each parcel are on the PostEx page; how PostEx pays your COD is on PostEx COD payments.
