Shipnoc “Out For Delivery”: what it means

In transit Also printed as Courier out for delivery

Shipnoc Out For Delivery means the parcel is with a rider heading for the customer. Next should be Delivered or a failed visit, which Shipnoc shows as the reason itself.

Two things can make it look odd. When a partner courier does the last part of the trip, its scan reads Courier out for delivery. And because Shipnoc writes most statuses once a day, an Out For Delivery can appear after the parcel already shows Delivered.

A late Out For Delivery after a delivery does not undo the delivery; it is Shipnoc catching up.

How ShipOps reads it

In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Shipnoc statuses →
