Trax “Misrouted”: what it means
In transit Also printed as Shipment - Misrouted · Misroute Forwarded
Trax "Misrouted" means the parcel was sent to the wrong Trax station. It is still with Trax and still on its way. Misroute Forwarded follows once Trax sends it on to the right place.
A misroute costs time, not the parcel. It does not mean the customer's address is wrong; that would show as a failed delivery with an address reason.
ShipOps shows both as in transit. If the customer is chasing, a misroute is the honest answer for a parcel that is late but has not failed.
What to do now
| Your move | Sent to the wrong station; Trax forwards it. Expect a delay, nothing to do yet. |
|---|---|
| The customer | The customer is likely asking why the parcel is late. Tell them it went to the wrong station and is being sent on. |
How ShipOps reads it
In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Trax statuses →
