InstaWorld “In Transit”: what it means
In transit
InstaWorld "In Transit" means the parcel is moving between points: from pickup to a hub, between cities, or toward the delivery branch. You will see it on most parcels, often more than once.
It does not say which city the parcel is in. And the direction matters: if the return has already started, a plain In Transit is the parcel moving back toward you, not going out to the customer again.
ShipOps shows it as in transit, unless the parcel is already on its way back. Then ShipOps keeps showing it as returning, so a returning parcel never looks like a fresh delivery.

How ShipOps reads it
In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All InstaWorld statuses →
The same state on other couriers
