M&P “Return – In Transit”: what it means
11 Coming back
On M&P, 11 Return – In Transit means a returned parcel is moving between M&P offices on its way back to your city. It is the return version of 4 In-transit.
It comes after 16 Failed Delivered. M&P's return statuses do not come in number order, so do not expect 11, 12, 13 in sequence; a return can go 16, 13, 12, 15 and skip this one.
There is nothing to tell M&P now; the chance to ask for a retry has passed. Plan for the parcel to arrive.

How ShipOps reads it
Coming back On its way back to you. The return is committed, so ShipOps stops suggesting retries and moves the parcel to the returns list. When it lands, checking it in records that you have the goods back, and the return charge is counted against the order.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All M&P statuses →
The same state on other couriers
