Next Step “BOOKED”: what it means

Booked

Next Step BOOKED means the order is on your Next Step account and has a tracking number, but Next Step has not collected the parcel yet. It is the first status on every Next Step parcel. The parcel is still with you.

Next comes PICKED_UP, when a Next Step rider collects from your pickup location. Until then nothing is moving.

A parcel that stays on BOOKED is worth a look at your packing area: the label may be printed and the parcel never handed over. Bookings made from ShipOps go out from the pickup location you chose when you connected.

What to do now

Your move Booked, waiting for Next Step to collect.

How ShipOps reads it

Booked Booked, not yet collected. A booking that has not been scanned by the courier 48 hours later goes on ShipOps' awaiting-pickup list. It is not a delivery problem yet; it is usually a pickup that was missed or a parcel that never left the store, and the fix is a call to the courier, not the customer.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Next Step statuses →
