Next Step “OUT_FOR_DELIVERY”: what it means

In transit

Next Step OUT_FOR_DELIVERY means a rider is on the road with the parcel, heading for the customer. Next comes either DELIVERED or HALT_DELIVERY.

This is the last point where a message from you can change the outcome: a customer who knows the parcel is coming today is ready for the rider's call.

It does not mean delivered, and it does not mean the cash has been collected.

What to do now

Your move With the rider on the road. Make sure the customer picks up the phone.
The customer A customer asking "when will it come" today is the one to tell: the rider has it now.

How ShipOps reads it

In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Next Step statuses →
