Next Step “DELIVERED”: what it means

Delivered

Next Step DELIVERED means the rider handed the parcel to the customer and collected the COD. It is what ShipOps writes back to your store as delivered, when that write-back is on.

On most delivered parcels one more status follows: COURIER_SETTLED, the rider handing the cash in at the branch. Next Step's order list may keep saying DELIVERED while that happens.

Delivered is not paid. The money stays with Next Step until it settles the parcel to you on a transaction. ShipOps checks a few days after delivery; the payments page covers what Next Step does and does not tell you.

What to do now

Your move Delivered to the customer. Next Step settles the cash to you later.

How ShipOps reads it

Delivered Handed to the customer. Delivered is where the money question starts. ShipOps writes the delivery back to your store, then watches the courier's payouts for this parcel's COD and raises it if it is not paid within the courier's usual cycle.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Next Step statuses →
