Next Step “RETURN_CONFIRM”: what it means
Coming back Also printed as Return Confirm
Next Step RETURN_CONFIRM means the return is confirmed and the parcel is starting back to you. It is one of the two answers to ADVICE_REQUESTED. The parcel is coming back, not back yet.
Next Step's tracking page may write it as Order status changed to Return Confirm. After it come the return steps: RETURN_TRANSFER, RETURN_ARRIVED_AT_ORIGIN, ASSIGNED_FOR_RETURN, and finally PARCEL_RETURNED.
Next Step can still send a parcel out again after this. If that happens, ShipOps follows it back out, so check the parcel's latest status before you write the order off.

How ShipOps reads it
Coming back On its way back to you. The return is committed, so ShipOps stops suggesting retries and moves the parcel to the returns list. When it lands, checking it in records that you have the goods back, and the return charge is counted against the order.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Next Step statuses →
