Shipnoc “Cash not available”: what it means

Attempt failed

Shipnoc Cash not available means the rider reached the customer but the customer did not have the COD amount. The customer is there and may still want the parcel. It is a failed visit, with the reason shown as the status.

It is not common on Shipnoc, and it does not wait long: after a couple of days of this, the parcel can move to READY FOR RTN and come back. A customer short of cash needs a date, not another surprise visit.

ShipOps groups this reason with refusals, because on a COD parcel a customer who does not pay ends the same way as one who says no.

What to do now

Your move The customer could not pay at the door. Ask when they will have the cash, or offer another way to pay.
The customer Ask when they will have the money. If you take payment by bank transfer, this is the customer to offer it to.
Retry or return Shipnoc does not take a retry or return instruction from outside its own portal, so the answer goes in by hand; ShipOps still shows the parcel with its reason and links you there.

How ShipOps reads it

Attempt failed A delivery failed, the courier still has it. The parcel goes into the Action Inbox with the courier's reason in plain words. The useful move is to reach the customer before the next attempt; ShipOps puts the call and WhatsApp buttons on the row and counts the attempts made so far.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Shipnoc statuses →
