TCS “Mobile Switched Off”: what it means

MO Needs your decision

TCS MO Mobile Switched Off means the rider called the customer and the phone was off. Rather than go back without a way to reach them, TCS stops the parcel and waits for your instruction.

Unlike No Response on mobile, which TCS retries on its own, MO waits for you. Look for a second number on the order or in your WhatsApp chat with the customer. TCS only takes a new phone number together with an address, so in ShipOps use Fix address, keep the same address and add the new number.

A phone that is off at delivery time can also mean a customer who has gone quiet on the order. If they do not answer your message either, a return may cost less than another visit.

What to do now

Your move Find another number for the customer, then retry with it. TCS takes a new number alongside an address retry.
Retry or return TCS takes a retry or return instruction only while the parcel is in its review window. ShipOps raises the parcel when that window opens and files the instruction from the order.
Attempts TCS tries 3 times before it starts a return.

How ShipOps reads it

Needs your decision The courier is waiting for your decision. This is the window where an instruction still changes the outcome. ShipOps raises the parcel to the top of the Action Inbox, and where the courier lets ShipOps send a retry or return, the buttons on the row file it with the courier directly.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All TCS statuses →
