TCS statuses

Every TCS tracking status, explained

TCS prints 31 statuses a merchant actually sees on a parcel. Each one below has its own page: what is physically happening, what to do now, and where it usually goes next. They are grouped by what the parcel needs from you, which is not always what the words suggest.

Booked, not yet collected

Booked
Shipment Booked BT Booked, not yet collected. Chase the pickup if it sits more than a day.

Moving inside the courier's network

In transit
Shipment Picked Up PO Collected by TCS. Nothing to do; the next update should be an arrival at a TCS facility.
Arrived at TCS Facility ATF Inside TCS's network. Nothing to do unless the tracking goes quiet after it.
Departed From TCS Facility DTF Moving between TCS facilities. Nothing to do.
Scheduled for the next delivery cycle SD Look at the update before it. After a failed visit, act on that failure; after a scan, there is nothing to do yet.
Shipment pending at destination Waiting in TCS's building in the customer's city. If no Out For Delivery follows, ask TCS, not the customer.
Out For Delivery OD With the rider. A message to the customer helps the first attempt land.

A delivery failed, the courier still has it

Attempt failed
Consignee not home HN A failed visit with the customer absent. TCS will try again; reach the customer so the next visit is answered.
Recipient Premises Closed RC The rider found the place shut. Ask the customer when someone will be there, or for an address that is open in the day.
No Response on mobile NM The rider could not reach the customer. WhatsApp usually works where a call did not.
Delivery Rescheduled DR TCS has moved the attempt. Nothing to send; confirm the customer will be in.

The courier is waiting for your decision

Needs your decision
Receiver Refused To Accept Shipment RD The customer refused at the door. Decide: return it, or talk the customer round and ask TCS to retry.
On Hold at TCS Facility OH Ask TCS why, not the customer. If a refusal came just before it, this is the pause before the return: send a retry now or let it go back.
Bad Address BA Get the correct address with a landmark from the customer and send it with the retry. Counter pickup is the fallback.
INCOMPLETE ADDRESS IA Ask the customer for the missing part (house number, street, block) and send the completed address with a Fix address retry.
Unable To Locate Delivery Address UL Get a landmark and a reachable number from the customer, then retry. Counter pickup if the area is hard to find.
Address Closed CA Find out when the address is open and send a retry with the time in the remarks. TCS is waiting for your instruction.
Address Information Needed TCS is asking for detail. Get the full address and a landmark from the customer and send it with a Fix address retry.
No Such Receiver Confirm with the customer who will receive it, then retry with that name in the remarks.
Consignee Shifted CS Get the customer's current address and send a New address retry.
OUT OF SERVICE AREA OS A retry to the same address will fail again. Send a new address in TCS's coverage, a counter pickup, or a return.
Mobile Switched Off MO Find another number for the customer, then retry with it. TCS takes a new number alongside an address retry.
Wrong Mobile Number WM Get the right number, from the order or the customer's WhatsApp, and send it with a Fix address retry.
No Telephone Number NT Add the number from your order with a Fix address retry, then check your booking setup so the next parcel carries one.
Held for Self Collection SC Tell the customer which TCS office has it and remind them if days pass. If they will not collect, send a return.
Please Contact TCS PC Call TCS with the tracking number. The customer cannot fix this one.
Partial Piece Delivered POK Part of a multi-piece shipment delivered. Find out where the rest is, and check the COD on the invoice before marking the order paid.
Lost shipment LS TCS has lost it. Raise a claim with TCS in writing with the tracking number; a retry will not help.

Handed to the customer

Delivered
Delivered OK Done. The COD will appear on the invoice for the week of delivery; the freight was already charged in the booking week.

On its way back to you

Coming back
Returned To TCS Origin RO Coming back. Plan for the return and decide whether to rebook.

Back with you

Returned to you
Returned To Sender RS Back with you. Check it in so the order can be cancelled and restocked if you have that on.

The failed-visit reasons, how TCS connects and what ShipOps does with each parcel are on the TCS page; how TCS pays your COD is on TCS COD payments.
