TCS “Please Contact TCS”: what it means

PC Needs your decision Also printed as Contact TCS Local Customer Services

TCS PC Please Contact TCS means TCS has stopped the parcel and wants you to get in touch before it does anything else. The status does not say why. CSC and CSR, both printed Contact TCS Local Customer Services, mean the same.

Nothing happened at the customer's door, so the customer cannot help. Call your TCS account contact or the local office with the tracking number. ShipOps treats it as TCS's question and does not message the customer about it.

Don't confuse it with the note TCS adds to many tracking updates, (For Additional Info Contact Local TCS Office). That appears on refusals and returns alike and is just TCS's standard wording. Only PC, CSC or CSR means TCS is waiting on you.

What to do now

Your move Call TCS with the tracking number. The customer cannot fix this one.
Retry or return TCS takes a retry or return instruction only while the parcel is in its review window. ShipOps raises the parcel when that window opens and files the instruction from the order.
Attempts TCS tries 3 times before it starts a return.

How ShipOps reads it

Needs your decision The courier is waiting for your decision. This is the window where an instruction still changes the outcome. ShipOps raises the parcel to the top of the Action Inbox, and where the courier lets ShipOps send a retry or return, the buttons on the row file it with the courier directly.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All TCS statuses →

Connect your TCS account and ShipOps reads every status for you, raises the parcels that need a decision, and checks TCS's COD payouts against your orders. Free to start, no card.
