TCS “Unable To Locate Delivery Address”: what it means

UL Needs your decision

TCS UL Unable To Locate Delivery Address means the rider went looking for the address and could not find it. An address can be complete and correct on paper and still be hard to find on the ground. TCS waits for your instruction.

So the fix is a landmark and a phone call, not a new address. Send a retry to the same address with the landmark in the remarks, and make sure the customer will answer when the rider calls for directions.

If the area really is hard to reach, ask TCS to hold the parcel at its counter and send the customer there. Counter pickup is one of the retry options in ShipOps. UL sits in your inbox with the other address problems: Bad Address, Incomplete Address and Address Closed.

What to do now

Your move Get a landmark and a reachable number from the customer, then retry. Counter pickup if the area is hard to find.
Retry or return TCS takes a retry or return instruction only while the parcel is in its review window. ShipOps raises the parcel when that window opens and files the instruction from the order.
Attempts TCS tries 3 times before it starts a return.

How ShipOps reads it

Needs your decision The courier is waiting for your decision. This is the window where an instruction still changes the outcome. ShipOps raises the parcel to the top of the Action Inbox, and where the courier lets ShipOps send a retry or return, the buttons on the row file it with the courier directly.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All TCS statuses →
