Trax “Re-Attempt”: what it means

Attempt failed Also printed as Shipment - Re-Attempt · Re-Attempt Call Requested · (Re-Attempt - Requested)

Trax "Re-Attempt" means a retry has been asked for on a parcel that failed, by you through ShipOps or in the Sonic portal, and Trax will try again. It records the request. It does not mean the rider went.

It usually follows Shipper Advise Requested and comes before a new Out for Delivery. Re-Attempt Call Requested and (Re-Attempt - Requested) mean the same thing.

ShipOps does not count these as visits. The parcel leaves your inbox and waits for the next delivery run. Trax refuses a second answer on the same parcel with "Shipment is already updated", so there is no need to send one.

What to do now

Your move A retry was asked for and Trax will go again. Nothing to do; do not send a second answer.
Retry or return Trax takes a retry or return instruction only while the parcel is in its review window. ShipOps raises the parcel when that window opens and files the instruction from the order.

How ShipOps reads it

Attempt failed A delivery failed, the courier still has it. The parcel goes into the Action Inbox with the courier's reason in plain words. The useful move is to reach the customer before the next attempt; ShipOps puts the call and WhatsApp buttons on the row and counts the attempts made so far.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Trax statuses →
