Trax “Shipper Advise Requested”: what it means

Needs your decision Also printed as Shipment - Shipper Advise Requested

Trax "Shipper Advise Requested" means Trax has stopped after a failed delivery and is asking you what to do: deliver again, or return it. Trax spells it "Advise", and it carries the reason from the failed visit.

It comes after Reason Validation Required. If you ask for a retry, you will see Re-Attempt and another Out for Delivery. If you ask for a return, it becomes Return - Confirm.

This is the window where Trax accepts your answer. ShipOps puts the parcel in your inbox with retry and return buttons, and sends your choice to Trax.

What to do now

Your move Trax is waiting for your answer. Choose retry or return on the order in ShipOps before the parcel starts back.
The customer Call before you answer Trax. A retry without a fresh word from the customer usually fails the same way.
Retry or return Trax takes a retry or return instruction only while the parcel is in its review window. ShipOps raises the parcel when that window opens and files the instruction from the order.

How ShipOps reads it

Needs your decision The courier is waiting for your decision. This is the window where an instruction still changes the outcome. ShipOps raises the parcel to the top of the Action Inbox, and where the courier lets ShipOps send a retry or return, the buttons on the row file it with the courier directly.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Trax statuses →
