InstaWorld “Refused”: what it means

Attempt failed

InstaWorld "Refused" means the rider reached the customer and the customer would not take the parcel. It is a failed delivery, with refusal as the reason.

You will see this status less often than the call-centre note Refused marked By Insta. This one is the rider's word at the door. The note is InstaWorld's team confirming it by phone.

ShipOps puts the parcel in your inbox with the reason "Refused to accept" and keeps that reason through the return. That way you can see how much your returns from refusals are costing you.

What to do now

Your move The customer turned the parcel away at the door. Call once to find out why before the return starts.
The customer A refusal at the door is often a changed mind, a surprise at the price, or an order placed by someone else in the house. One call tells you which.
Retry or return InstaWorld does not take a retry or return instruction from outside its own portal, so the answer goes in by hand; ShipOps still shows the parcel with its reason and links you there.

How ShipOps reads it

Attempt failed A delivery failed, the courier still has it. The parcel goes into the Action Inbox with the courier's reason in plain words. The useful move is to reach the customer before the next attempt; ShipOps puts the call and WhatsApp buttons on the row and counts the attempts made so far.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All InstaWorld statuses →
