Trax “Delivery Unsuccessful”: what it means

Attempt failed Also printed as Shipment - Delivery Unsuccessful

Trax "Delivery Unsuccessful" means the rider went to your customer and could not deliver. Trax gives a reason with it, such as "Address Incomplete" or "Address Closed", and ShipOps shows that reason on the parcel.

It follows Out for Delivery. Usually Reason Validation Required comes next for the same visit, then Shipper Advise Requested, when Trax asks you what to do.

ShipOps puts the parcel in your inbox and counts one failed visit. "Address Closed" is shown as customer not available, because nobody was there to receive it.

What to do now

Your move A failed visit; the reason follows the dash. Trax will try again. Reach the customer first.
The customer The customer may not know the rider came. Ask whether they still want it, and confirm the address and a time.
Retry or return Trax takes a retry or return instruction only while the parcel is in its review window. ShipOps raises the parcel when that window opens and files the instruction from the order.

How ShipOps reads it

Attempt failed A delivery failed, the courier still has it. The parcel goes into the Action Inbox with the courier's reason in plain words. The useful move is to reach the customer before the next attempt; ShipOps puts the call and WhatsApp buttons on the row and counts the attempts made so far.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Trax statuses →
