Leopards “Assigned to courier in {city}”: what it means
In transit Also printed as Assigned To Courier · Out for Delivery
On Leopards, Assigned to courier in {city} means the parcel has been given to a Leopards rider for delivery today. "Courier" here means the rider, not the company. It is Leopards' out-for-delivery status, and some screens show it as Out for Delivery.
After it comes either Delivered or Pending, the rider back without delivering. A Pending is often followed by another Assigned to courier as Leopards sends the parcel out again.
Watch for returns. Leopards uses the same phrase when a returned parcel is given to a rider in your city to bring it back to you. If the parcel's tracking already shows a return, this is the return coming home, not a new delivery. ShipOps keeps showing it as returning.

How ShipOps reads it
In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Leopards statuses →
