PostEx “Returned at Merchant Warehouse”: what it means

0006 Returned to you Also printed as Returned · Return

PostEx 0006 Returned at Merchant Warehouse means the parcel has been handed back to you. The return is complete and this is the last status PostEx writes. The portal shows it as Returned or Return.

Before it come the return steps: 0040, then 0037 Return to {city}, 0039 Waiting for Return and 0032 En Route to Merchant Warehouse.

A return is not free. The parcel appears on a CPR with PostEx's shipping charge and nothing collected, so it comes off a payout. ShipOps shows 0006 as Returned to you, puts the real return cost from the CPR on the order, and asks you to check the parcel in.

What to do now

Your move Back with you. Check it in, so the store order can be cancelled and restocked if you have that switched on.

How ShipOps reads it

Returned to you Back with you. The parcel is closed as returned. ShipOps checks the courier's payouts for the return charge, so a return billed twice or a return marked delivered on a receipt is caught.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All PostEx statuses →
