PostEx “Waiting for Delivery”: what it means
0038 In transit
PostEx 0038 Waiting for Delivery means the parcel has reached the PostEx office that delivers to your customer and is waiting to go out with a rider. It is in the right city. It has not gone out yet, and no one has tried to deliver it.
It normally follows 0035 Arrived at Transit Hub and comes before 0004 Enroute for Delivery, the day a rider takes it out. The PostEx order list shows this stage as In Stock, the same word it uses at PostEx's first warehouse, so check the full status.
This is the last calm moment before the doorstep. A WhatsApp now to confirm the address, a landmark and the cash costs you one message. A failed delivery costs you a lot more. ShipOps shows 0038 as In transit.
What to do now
| Your move | In the customer's city, waiting for a rider. The best moment to confirm the address and that the cash is ready. |
|---|---|
| The customer | Customers who track the parcel see it sitting in their city and ask why it has not come. Tell them it is in their city and will go out with a rider soon. |
How ShipOps reads it
In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All PostEx statuses →
