TCS “Bad Address”: what it means

BA Needs your decision Also printed as Undelivered Due To Incorrect Address · BAD ADDRESS · Wronge Address

TCS BA Bad Address means the rider could not deliver because the address on the parcel is wrong. On tracking it often reads Undelivered Due To Incorrect Address. TCS stops the parcel and waits for a corrected address or a return instruction from you.

TCS uses three codes for this: BA, BD (BAD ADDRESS, in capitals) and WA, which TCS spells Wronge Address. ShipOps shows all three in your inbox as the same address problem.

The next update is often Scheduled for the next delivery cycle. That does not mean TCS fixed anything. Without a corrected address the next visit fails the same way. From ShipOps you can send TCS the corrected address and phone number with a retry, or ask TCS to hold the parcel at its counter for the customer to collect.

What to do now

Your move Get the correct address with a landmark from the customer and send it with the retry. Counter pickup is the fallback.
The customer The customer usually does not know the visit failed. Ask for the full address with a landmark the rider can ask for, rather than just asking them to repeat it.
Retry or return TCS takes a retry or return instruction only while the parcel is in its review window. ShipOps raises the parcel when that window opens and files the instruction from the order.
Attempts TCS tries 3 times before it starts a return.

How ShipOps reads it

Needs your decision The courier is waiting for your decision. This is the window where an instruction still changes the outcome. ShipOps raises the parcel to the top of the Action Inbox, and where the courier lets ShipOps send a retry or return, the buttons on the row file it with the courier directly.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All TCS statuses →
