TCS “Departed From TCS Facility”: what it means

DTF In transit Also printed as Departed From Origin · Departed From TCS Sort Facility

TCS Departed From TCS Facility means the parcel has left a TCS building on a vehicle heading to the next one. TCS also prints it as Departed From Origin, or Departed From TCS Sort Facility. All of them mean the parcel is on the road between offices.

These scans often happen late at night or before dawn. The next arrival usually follows within hours, and delivery the same or the next day.

On a returned parcel the same scan carries it back towards you, so a departure after a refusal is not another try at the customer. Once you have seen Returned To TCS Origin, ShipOps keeps the parcel as returning whatever scans follow.

What to do now

Your move Moving between TCS facilities. Nothing to do.

How ShipOps reads it

In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All TCS statuses →
