TCS “Shipment Booked”: what it means
BT Booked Also printed as Label Created
TCS BT Shipment Booked means TCS has given your parcel a consignment number, but nothing physical has happened yet. No rider has collected it and no TCS office has scanned it. It is waiting at your place for pickup.
LC Label Created means the same thing: the label is printed. The next update should be Shipment Picked Up, when the rider scans the parcel at your door.
Don't panic if TCS's tracking page says No Data Found/Invalid CN for a parcel you booked today. TCS often shows nothing until the first scan. That is a parcel waiting for pickup, not a wrong number. ShipOps shows it as booked and waits for the pickup scan.
What to do now
| Your move | Booked, not yet collected. Chase the pickup if it sits more than a day. |
|---|---|
| The customer | Nothing from TCS has reached the customer yet. If they ask, tell them the parcel is booked and waiting for collection. |
How ShipOps reads it
Booked Booked, not yet collected. A booking that has not been scanned by the courier 48 hours later goes on ShipOps' awaiting-pickup list. It is not a delivery problem yet; it is usually a pickup that was missed or a parcel that never left the store, and the fix is a call to the courier, not the customer.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All TCS statuses →
