Trax “Booked”: what it means

Booked Also printed as Shipment - Booked

Trax "Booked" means the shipment exists in Trax's system but no rider has collected it yet. Trax shows it as Shipment - Booked, the first status on every Trax parcel. The parcel is still with you.

Next is normally Rider Picked. While a parcel reads Booked you can still cancel it. Once it has been picked up, Trax refuses the cancel with "Shipment's Status has already been changed", the same message it gives for a parcel that is already cancelled.

Booked does not mean the pickup is arranged for today. If it stays here past your usual pickup day, chase the pickup. Trax does not charge freight at booking; the freight shows on a payment after Trax receives the parcel.

What to do now

Your move Booked, waiting for the rider.

How ShipOps reads it

Booked Booked, not yet collected. A booking that has not been scanned by the courier 48 hours later goes on ShipOps' awaiting-pickup list. It is not a delivery problem yet; it is usually a pickup that was missed or a parcel that never left the store, and the fix is a call to the courier, not the customer.

ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Trax statuses →
