Trax “Out for Delivery”: what it means
In transit Also printed as Shipment - Out for Delivery
Trax "Out for Delivery" means the parcel is with a Trax rider on today's route to your customer. Next comes Delivered or Delivery Unsuccessful.
You may see it more than once. After a failed visit and a retry, Trax sends the parcel out again with a fresh Out for Delivery. Each one is a delivery run, not a failure.
ShipOps shows it as in transit. This is when a message to the customer helps most: the last chance to make sure the phone is on and the cash is ready.
What to do now
| Your move | With the rider today. Make sure the customer is reachable and has the cash ready. |
|---|---|
| The customer | Customers ask when the rider will come. Tell them today, and to answer unknown numbers. |
How ShipOps reads it
In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All Trax statuses →
