InstaWorld “Out for delivery”: what it means
In transit
InstaWorld "Out for delivery" means the parcel is with a rider on today's route to your customer. Next comes Delivered or a failed visit.
Read the whole status. Return - Out for delivery looks almost the same and means the opposite: the parcel is on its way back to you. On a normal parcel, this is the moment a reminder to the customer helps most.
ShipOps shows it as in transit. If the day ends without delivery, you will usually see Delivery unsuccessful or Not Available next, and the parcel moves to your inbox.
What to do now
| Your move | With the rider today. Make sure the customer is reachable and has the cash ready. |
|---|---|
| The customer | Customers often ask when the rider will come. InstaWorld does not show the rider's number; tell them today, and to keep their phone on. |
How ShipOps reads it
In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All InstaWorld statuses →
