M&P “Out-for-Delivery”: what it means
6 In transit
On M&P, 6 Out-for-Delivery means the parcel is with a rider today and a delivery visit is coming. The note reads "The shipment has been scheduled for delivery." Next you will see either 10 Delivered or 7 Unsuccessful Delivery Attempt.
This is when a reachable customer with cash ready turns into a delivery. If your team calls or messages customers on the day, do it now.
Do not confuse it with 13 Return – Out For Delivery. That one is a returned parcel on its way back to your address and has nothing to do with the customer.
What to do now
| Your move | With the rider today. A message to the customer helps the visit succeed. |
|---|---|
| The customer | The customer may call asking when the rider will arrive, or say they are not home today. |
How ShipOps reads it
In transit Moving inside the courier's network. Nothing for you to do, so ShipOps keeps it out of your Action Inbox. It does watch the clock: a parcel still in transit five days on, never attempted, goes on the Stuck list, where the lever is an escalation to the courier.
ShipOps shows every courier's parcels in the same few plain states, so your team learns one set of words instead of one per courier. All M&P statuses →
