COD payments

How BarqXpress pays your COD, and how to check it

BarqXpress pays COD on invoices, on the schedule you agree with it: daily, twice a week or weekly. Each parcel shows Paid or Unpaid, and a paid parcel names the invoice it was paid on. ShipOps asks BarqXpress about your delivered parcels, shows the ones marked paid, and reads the invoice you upload for the amounts.

When BarqXpress pays

BarqXpress offers daily settlement, payouts twice a week, and weekly settlement, and says it pays within 24 to 48 hours of delivery. It also offers upfront payment to eligible merchants: money before the regular settlement. Ask BarqXpress which schedule your account is on.

What the BarqXpress payout receipt contains

For each parcel BarqXpress gives a paid or unpaid mark and, once invoiced, the invoice number. Its parcel record also shows the delivery charge, GST and fuel charge.

BarqXpress's own "net total" on a parcel is the charges less the COD, worked out the same way whether the parcel was delivered or returned. A returned parcel therefore shows a COD it never collected. ShipOps does not use that figure.

Where the money goes wrong

These are the discrepancies ShipOps finds on BarqXpress receipts, in the order they usually cost the most:

  • Delivered, still unpaid. BarqXpress has not put the parcel on a paid invoice yet. ShipOps lists it under what BarqXpress owes you.
  • A returned parcel showing COD. BarqXpress's net total counts the COD on returns too. ShipOps reads the parcel's status, not that figure.
  • Charges that change after booking. BarqXpress rates a parcel after it is booked, so the charge you see at booking is not the charge on the invoice.
  • Upfront money that is not per parcel. An upfront payment is paid before the parcels it covers are delivered, so it will not match parcel by parcel. Keep the invoice that settles it.

What ShipOps does with a BarqXpress payout

Automatic · statement upload

ShipOps asks BarqXpress about your delivered parcels and shows the ones it has marked paid, with the invoice number. Drop the BarqXpress invoice into the Money screen and its lines are checked, matched to orders and filed; uploading is never charged.

What ShipOps does not claim for BarqXpress.

BarqXpress gives no list of invoices and no amount with a paid mark, so the rupee figures come from the invoices you upload.

Some accounts are settled outside BarqXpress's invoices by arrangement. Their parcels stay Unpaid in BarqXpress's system whatever was paid, so check with BarqXpress how yours is settled.

Questions merchants ask about BarqXpress payments

How do I know which BarqXpress parcels are paid?

BarqXpress marks each parcel paid when the invoice it sits on is paid. When it does, ShipOps shows that mark and the invoice number on the delivered parcel.

How often does BarqXpress pay COD?

Daily, twice a week or weekly, depending on your arrangement with BarqXpress. It says payment reaches you within 24 to 48 hours of delivery.

What is BarqXpress upfront payment?

Money paid to eligible merchants before the regular settlement, against parcels not yet delivered. It will not match parcel by parcel, so keep the invoice that settles it.

Why does a returned BarqXpress parcel show a COD amount?

BarqXpress's net total is charges minus COD whatever happened to the parcel. ShipOps ignores it and goes by the parcel's status.
